Inner City

Our inner city ministry is focused on reaching students that have been challenged through their environments resulting in expulsion from public school, charged with a crime, or taken away from their families by Child Protective Services.

Seminole County Detention Center: Every Tuesday we are in the Seminole County Detention Center sharing the love of Jesus through our program called “Awaken the Warrior Within”. We have seen over 1,000 students accept Jesus in the past four years through our ministry.

Journey’s Academy: Journey’s Academy is an alternative school for students that were expelled from public. I meet with several students on campus one on one weekly and help them get back on track by setting goals through biblical principals. We also lead a program called “Awaken The Warrior Within” on campus every other week.

Eugene Gregory Memorial Youth Academy: Eugene Gregory is another alternative school for students that have been expelled from public school or are in trouble with the law and cannot go to a public school. We have started a group there called “Awaken The Warrior Within” which is geared towards implementing biblical principals to overcome the challenges they are going through.

Boys Town: Boys Town consists of four group homes in Oviedo where middle and high school students have been taken away from their families by Child Protective Services. We are on their campus every week leading life groups for the students as well as the parent teachers that are there. We have seen many of these students accept Jesus through our ministry and are now in the process of finding residency for them when they age out of the program.
